Green Screen
What You Can Use To Make Green Screen Green table clothes (available at $1 and 99cent stores) Green cups, paper plates, silverware Green construction paper Green t-shirts, pants, socks, etc. We painted one computer lab wall green. PAINT: Valspar Luscious Green (valspar 6010-7) ALSO, another color option could be BEHR #S-G-430 Sparking Apple Flat. (thank you Carrie Willis!) Green Screen & DOINK Our example: http://cmcselementarylab.weebly.com/daily-thoughts/may-8-2014 and http://cmcselementarylab.weebly.com/daily-thoughts/our-new-green-wall-1st-use You will need: Green Screen (construction paper or $1 store tablecloths work great!) ipad app: doINK app: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/green-screen-by-do-ink/id730091131?mt=8 Dropbox account (if you are working on PC/Mac away from ipad to set things up) BigHugeLabs: http://bighugelabs.com/motivator.php Step 1: Have your students take a picture around your campus or log onto Internet and find the IMAGE that you wish. If you are using Google Images -- make sure you view the image LARGE mode (not thumbnail mode) Always check for copyright usage. (you might wish to use https://www.flickr.com/creativecommons/, http://www.pics4learning.com) Step 2: Download/Save the image to your ipad (or to your computer) (on ipad, hold down finger on image - save to camera roll) Step 2a: If you are using a device other than ipad first -- save files to your dropbox, then logon your dropbox and save them to your camera roll. You can also use AIRDROP to share from ipad to ipad. Step 3: Open Keynote -- blank slide -- click on + on upper right, go to third tab, bring in a green square and fill the screen). Click on + sign again and add text -- copy copyright info for the citation. Go to PLAY mode and take a screenshot. (this will save your slide to your camera roll) Step 4: Take a picture of yourself -- a friend -- etc -- in front of the green screen using ipad! Step 5: Open DoInk Green Screen app. Click on + signs in add in images. Your picture should be top picture, your copyright should be middle -- your background should be bottom. Step 6: Save the image -- change option to IMAGE before saving! (next to the upload button on DoINK app) Step 7: If you wish to take this a step further. Take image into BIG HUGE LABS and make a MOTIVATOR Step 8: If you wish to use a video - view the video in FULL SCREEN and use video ipad to capture video to ipad. (then follow steps 3 to 6) - be sure to change DOINK save option to VIDEO. After you save your doink video or picture -- you can also take into Powerpoint, Keynote, iMovie, etc. |
We painted an entire wall in our LAB green
and we added a green picture window option as well.
ANOTHER IDEA
-- we have just started smashing the app Tellagami w/ DOINK. It allows students to record a character and then also video themselves talking with the character. TELLAGAMI APP: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/tellagami/id572737805?mt=8 Free but you might want to invest in the full version https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/tellagami-edu/id893386556?mt=8 $4.99 When using the tellagami app -- make sure for the BACKGROUND, the students choose a SOLID green. You can have your students their script with their own voice or they can type in their script and use a computer generated voice. When DONE -- SHARE, and then save to camera roll. Insert into DOINK App as a VIDEO. |
