We had one of the best nights on WOW2 last night.......not to say that the rest have not been great.......but we tried some new "tips of chatting" and the forum really came alive with good conversations.
Sadly though, if you left it early, you really missed some great nuggets of information. Konrad Glogowski (http://k12onlineconference.org/?p=166) was our guest and what a wealth of information he shared about blogging during the our 1 hour and 40 minute show.......
But what struck me the most was something he said about having our students (or in my case, teachers) see us fail? (that might not be the exact wording -- sorry, I need to relisten to the chat for exact phrase!) And that hit me hard.
How often do my teachers see me perplexed about something on Tech? They don't see me at my desk when I am struggling to get Camtasia to work, or dealing with Google Earth issues, or being frustrated because the network just went down and I can't figure out why, or how to unlock a blocked website that is hidden who knows where. Usually, they see me as "the Know It All". Which I know is a comfort and a foundation to them -- but could I be doing better?
My thoughts this morning deal with perhaps letting them see me perplexed, confused, and not the guru -- and together we conquer the issue. Not on the day to day things -- but on the much more larger scheme.
Hmmm - how about you, would this work? Pros? Cons? Always appreciated!

- I know that I have not used Microsoft Photo Story 3 yet -- and am wondering if I should offer a LUNCH class and we all learn it together. Wow, I might make a bunch of mistakes -- but they will figure it out, and we will all be the wiser.
- I know that I am so comfy with Paint Shop Pro and the Yearbook editor needs my help with Photoshop because she doesn't know it. I told her I didn't know the program either and perhaps could get help from someone else......but I think I need to go back to her and say "Let's work on this together."
Hmmm - how about you, would this work? Pros? Cons? Always appreciated!
