As the memories of ISTE are beginning to become more clear (I do admit a huge sleep depravity issue in Atlanta!), I stepped back to contemplate my top 10 favorite and not-so-favorite moments at NECC 2007.
Top Ten Favorites
10. Hearing David Jakes chat about the fly, Butch, which got more attention from him in a session than the speaker.
9. Seeing on my Twitter that Adam Frey was in Blogger's Cafe and looking up and there he was!!
8. The WOW2 show on Tuesday night -- both in RL, on the web, and in SL too.
7. Meeting Wes F., David J., John P., Jeff U., Janice F & S., the Lucy's, Steve D., Anne T., Adam F., and many many more friends that have expanded my world!
6. Eating a Bison Burger at Ted's -- with lots of cool friends
5. Attending a session with David Warlick and learning even more! Then later, discussing the session with David.
4. Dinner with the Clicker group -- and Dinner with Google!
3. Sunday at Stone Mountain with DEN -- including meeting Tom Turner and Jessie Marie Flanagan! Creating a crazy movie -- and having fun!
2. Listening to 14 conversations at once, at Blogger's Cafe, and learning all the time.
1. Rooming with Cheryl Oakes and finding what fun it can be to have someone to talk to at the end of the day. (LOL, Mac might listen, but he doesn't converse back!)
Top Ten Not-So-Favorite
10. Being shuffled to an overflow room for opening Keynote and being turned away for the final Keynote.
9. The Sheraton NOT having shuttle service to the airport. (How can this be??)
8. Knowing that a celebrity getting out of jail was more important to cover to CNN than a Educational Conference going on across the street.
7. Anticipating a great session -- to find the presenter unprepared.
6. Having a well-known Tech leader dismiss me with a nod. (what an ego!)
5. The Best Buy Bag -- sighs -- it became bigger than life.
4. Lack of goodies from Vendors.
3. Falling flat on my face at "The Glenn" after the Google reception. (LOL, but I did save the candle!!)
2. Realizing that the WOW2 women never got a "Family Portrait!"
1. The Line at the Aquarium and the disappointment of not getting in and no explanation or apology -- sighs, I hope I get to see the Alamo!
What are your memories -
Do Tell!
